www.reedconsulting.com have provided years of IT assistance to myself and many companies nationally and internationally. Please see their site for further information.

Milton Street Writers is now a member of NAWG (National Association of Writing Groups). Their website is www.nawg.co.uk

'Ripping Pages' is a Midlands organisation that runs a monthly competition for poetry and short story submission and 'open mic' night. Their events usually take place on the first Tuesday of each month at the Romany or Edge of Town pubs in Northampton, but they are currently taking a break. Their blog is

www.northamptonliteraturegroup.org.uk is the website of Northampton Literature Group.  With four groups per month (1st Tues: writing, 2nd Tues: reading, 3rd Tues: poetry and 4th: theatre) there's plenty of choice for anyone with an interest in the arts.

Two of the local (Northamptonshire) authors that I've been taught by are Judith Allnat and Sue Moorcroft. Sue’s new book is called ‘Family Matters’ which is published by Robert Hale and Judith’s is ‘A mile of river’ published by Doubleday (which I read the week it was released and it’s delightful, full of Judith’s poeticisms!). Sue’s site is www.suemoorcroft.com and Judith’s is www.judithallnatt.co.uk.

Shropshire based Wrekin Writers home page has changed. The link is now http://sites.google.com/site/wrekinwriters/Home. Unfortunately it no longer contains guideline info. but still makes an interesting read.

I have mentioned  'Still Crazy' on the Competitions page - for writers aged 50+ - see www.crazylitmag.com for more details.

TV programmes on writing are far and few between but include http://thebookshow.skyarts.co.uk and www.bookzone.tv.

www.theneverendingstory.co.uk a very interesting site and an opportunity to start, continue or complete stories or poems; many already started by famous names including authors Lesley Pearse, Joanne Harris, Dick King-Smith, presenter Jeremy Vine and even 80’s pop star Limahl!

There are many writing magazines available and some I mention include hard copy-issues www.mslexia.co.uk, www.writersmarket.co.uk and www.writersnews.co.uk.

I've mentioned that I've submitted to Bound Off - if you like short stories do take a look at www.boundoff.com.

I've also mentioned NaNoWriMo on the Home Page. National Novel Writing Month is a fantastic idea. See www.nanowrimo.org. NaNoEdMo's (editing month in March yearly) website  is www.nanoedmo.net.

Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) is a site I mention regularly in my Hints & Tips section. Do remember though that the site is built mainly by the public so the accuracy is not guaranteed but the content is usually astoundingly comprehensive!

I've found an interesting website with links to 44 authors blogs...http://www.internetwritingjournal.com/authorblogs including Poppy Z Brite, Meg Cabot, Jennifer Weiner and Holly Lisle (author of 'On writing' podcast).

I also mention many podcasts (via iTunes www.apple.com/itunes) and the relevant websites include: American origin...
